The Highly Anticipated 2024 Wadokai European Championships

It’s another year and another Wadokai European Karate Championships is fast approaching! The 49th FEW Championships is scheduled for the 26th and 27th of October in Nicosia, Cyprus. This annual event is seen as a special occasion for select members of the FEW to come together and compete for the title of European Champion in many different categories – but it is also a time to celebrate each other’s knowledge and progress in the Wado Karate community.

The competition is going to be held at the Agios Dometios Sports Hall in Nicosia, Cyprus – the heart of the island – where up to 8000 spectators can be seated. The hall is specially equipped for all kinds of martial arts and many different Cypriot teams for a range of sports practice there regularly. It is believed to be a tropical scene with temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius at the time of the events. Let’s hope the Sports Centre is air conditioned! The 2024 European Karate Championships is thought to have contenders from all over Europe, including Romania, Germany, Portugal, England any many more.

FAQs

The 49th FEW European Championships will take place on October 26th and 27th, 2024, in Nicosia, Cyprus. The competition will be held at the Agios Dometios Sports Hall.

The frequency in which a student practices karate is entirely down to the individual, however bear in mind that the more often you practise the faster you will progress through the ranks. Beginners tend to train once a week and will increase this as they start to get hooked on training! Many of the most advanced karateka train anywhere between 5 and 7 days a week and will travel around the globe to gain expertise from different senior instructors. But don’t worry, if you’re thinking about starting some karate classes near you there will be no pressure to train more than once a week!

Tickets for the Wadokai European Championships can typically be purchased online through the event’s official website or at the venue, but it’s best to check closer to the event for specific details.

Both competitors and spectators from around Europe are welcome. The event will bring together karate enthusiasts and supporters to cheer on the best of the Wado Karate community.
